I am good mom because I give my self the freedom to chase my own dreams while still being a mom, and I encourage my children to chase theirs!!
I am a good mom because I give my children enough space to make their own mistakes and learn from them. I give them the choice to let them be who they want to be, I just guide them in the right Direction.

I know I'm a good mom when I watch my son cuddle with his baby boy.I know I'm a good mom when all of my kids are at the table teasing and laughing and enjoying each others company.

I feel that I am a good mom because my 7-1/2 yrs. old daughter knows she can tell me anything and that I'll always be there for her, plus she tells me all the time that I am a good mom. I feel that I am a good mom because our 5 mos. old son gives me the sweetest and slobberiest kisses and never wants to let go of my hand. I know my children love me and that I love them.

I am an excellent mom. I am always there for my kid, and she is my top priority. I am also a well-rounded, happy person myself, which sets a good example. I have also forgiven my ex husband, which means we get along well, which is critical.

I am a good Mommy because my kids still smile whenever I come home. It doesn't matter where I have been or how long I have been gone they always migrate to me and I always get a smile and usually a quick kiss.

I'm a good mom because I try my best. Even if I'm tired, fed up, or want something, she comes first. I'm a good mom because I make sure that our time together is quality while teaching her life skills along the way. I love when she tells people thank you, please, I'm sorry etc. without being prompted . . . makes my heart swell! Developmentally, I don't rush her and I enjoy every stage, even with it's rough spots.

I know I'm a good mom because of the love and compassion I see my boys emulate. It helps, too, that my 3 year old uses the same words and phrases as I do to express praise and affection. His one year old brother will try to come hug big brother when he's crying in time out for knocking little brother off the rocking horse, too. My boys are so sweet!

My kids are still alive and well, so yes, I am a good mother...

I feel like a good mom when my DD comes in and jumps in the bed on the weekend and we all wrestle and giggle together.

I know that I am a good mother when sacrificing something of my own to make sure my son has something (a toy, or whatever be it) isn't painful, it's joyous. My son has taught me more in his short 16 months about being a good person than I ever realized and in turn, I know I'm passing generosity, compassion, understanding, and tolerance on to him.
I also know I'm a good mom when he declares his feet are dirty and he'd liked them washed, please. Hygiene is something that should be started young and with patience, he caught right on!

I think my parenting style is pretty damn awesome and effective in raising a bright, respectful, imaginative and curious child. But I'm definitely far from perfect. However, I try to make up for those imperfections by constantly giving my child affection (sometimes she even protests "Mommy, stop kissing me!"). I like what my uncle said to me once "I'm surprised my boys aren't taller because of how often I squeeze them and kiss them". I'm the same way.
But, I'm not about to give myself an award. I'll wait until the teenage years to see just how awesome I really am. =)A mom from somewhere said:
I feel that I am a good mom because I am my children's most fierce advocate. I am proactive, and I will not take No for an answer.

I feel that I am a good mother because every day I try to improve myself to be more positive and happy for my kids.
I know that I am a good mother when my kids come to me first thing in the morning waiting for a good morning hug.
I know that I am a good mother when my kids feel like they can come to me with any problem they have and not have to suffer in silence.
I know I am a good mother when I see my children acting kindly towards others. I know that by setting a good example for them to follow is being a good mother.

I am a good mom because even though I can't provide my kids with the flashiest toys or the best brand name clothes I do my best and make sure that all the basic needs are met.

I am a good mom because I take a deep breath before reacting to what could become a negative situation. I am a good mom because I learn from my mistakes, and I'm not afraid to tell my children my mistakes so they can learn from them too. I am a good mom because I love spending time with my family - that is at the very top of my list of things that make me happy. And last but not least, I am a good mom because I recognize that there is always lots of room for improvement, to become an even better mom.

I'm a good mom because I teach my daughter how to play in the dirt and not care about her nails, it's about having fun right now. Later we'll girlie back up.

I'm a good mom because I love my kids. And that love drives what I do for them each day. And I know they love me when they can still tell me they love me and that I'm the best mom after all the mistakes I make and the bad days I have.

I know I am a good mom when my kids are bathed and in their Pj's snuggling up with their loveys at night.
Earlier that day I try to fill it with love and attention. In hopes for a better tomorrow. Even though I can't give em the world. I would at least show it to them.

I think I am a good mom because I do the best that I can to raise my kids. Other peoples standards are not a factor in my parenting. I do what I think is best for my kids and that is what makes me a good mom.

Being a mom of special needs kids can be challenging at times...
I think the fact that I accept each child for WHO they are not WHAT they are/aren't makes me a good mom...
Each one of my children have obstacles that must be overcome or adapted to for them to succeed in life and I think so far they are doing quite well.

I feel I am a good mom when I do the little things: tuck my kids into bed at night, not freak out when the juice is spilled on the floor, and read a story even though I really don't want to.
from Salt Lake City, UT said"
What makes me a good mom is that I try to be a good mom. I come up short....a. lot....but deep in my heart I have the desire to be as good of a mom I can be every day, and I do whatever I can to achieve that goal, and if I have an off day, I don't beat myself up over it, I realize hey I'm human and move forward.
SO...pat yourself on the back and live every single day knowing you are doing you very best to be the best possible person you can be (mom, wife, friend, sister, etc.) Then, you have it all in the bag.

I am a good mom because I do the best that I can do with what I am given. I feel the most important thing I could teach my kids is to be happy and laugh at the world. If they learn that skill, many trials in life can be handled easier.
